ShowStopper! The Improvised Musical is a must-see show playing in London’s West End this September!  The Guardian have said ShowStopper! is ”an ingenious and engaging mix of improvisation and musical theatre’. The 80 minute show will be playing at The Ambassadors Theatre, West Street WC2H 9ND on Sept 20,21,27,28 Oct 4,5,11,12. CAN YOU HELP TO WRITE A SKETCH SHOW?

The Sketch Bank is a brand new online comedy sketch show. Every Monday you will be able to watch a short and sweet episode that you can copy and paste to share with your friends. It doesn’t stop there….it’s also interactive. You, the viewer can deposit your ideas and if The Sketch Bank like it, they will film it – making your sketch come to life and resulting in you getting a credit in future episodes. The first series goes live on Monday 31st January at The Sketch Bank. Make sure you get your ideas in soon for the second series. (This opportunity is for students aged 15 and over).

LAMDA QUALIFICATIONS IN DRAMA

The Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film is proud to announce that in 2011 we will offering our students the opportunity to gain LAMDA qualifications in Drama. LAMDA is the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and is an irreplacable experience for aspiring actors, as well as a great addition to any students CV. CAMBRIDGE FILM FESTIVAL

The 31st Cambridge Film Festival (15-25 Sept) promises to be more wide-ranging than ever. Feature highlights this year include the much anticipated film version of TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY, Lars Von Trier’s MELANCHOLIA, Nicolas Winding Refn’s acclaimed actioner DRIVE and Woody Allen’s MIDNIGHT IN PARIS. There is also a smorgasbord of special events, including an evening with renowned critic Mark Kermode, a tribute to Bernard Herrmann by fellow composer and accompanist Neil Brand.
