TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please note that our terms and conditions are very simple but failure to adhere to them will result in your child being sent home straight away or being suspended. Please do not assume that if you drop your child off that they will be able to stay unless you know 100% that all terms and conditions have been followed. Until they are past reception they will still be your responsibility. For standards to be kept high and improved a team effort is non-negotiable. Hence why we take a firm approach to the terms below.
All terms and conditions below are for both the Hackney & Docklands Schools, however, where they differ please refer to the red text for the Docklands School.
1. All fees must be paid by the beginning of term. Under exceptional circumstances an installment policy can be agreed. Should a cheque be returned your child will NOT be allowed to continue until it has been replaced.
2. The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances unless a place is not given.
3. All Saturday students must arrive between 9.15 – 9.25 prompt for the morning school and between 2.15pm – 2.25pm prompt for the afternoon school. All Docklands students must arrive between 4.45pm – 4.55pm prompt. Lateness will not be tolerated unless a phone call is made to 07530273967 or 07505039864 for Docklands, with an explanation before the student arrives.
4. Students must be collected by 2.00pm for the morning school; doors will open between 13.50 – 13.55. Students must be collected by 5.30pm for the afternoon school; doors will open between 5.20 and 5.30pm. Students must be collected at 8pm prompt. Doors will be open by 7.50pm. There will be a £2 penalty fine if you are late collecting your child. This will increase to £4 if you are more than 15 minutes late and then £1 per 5 mins after that. This fee will be paid to the assistant who will be required to look after
children not yet collected.
5. Any unexpected absences due to illness must be phoned through before 9.15am, (morning school) and 2.30pm (afternoon school) and 4.45pm on Wednesday.
6. The school must give 2 weeks written notice for any known absences. During the show term known absences must be given at the beginning of term.
7. Any unexpected absences must be authorised by the principal or her executive. Please send in letter or e-mail rhiannon-afschool@hotmail.co.uk. Please do not assume that the absence has been authorised unless you have received a response. If you have no access to e-mail you can phone 020 7682 1403 and leave a message.
8. The uniform for the school is plain black top and leggings or tracksuit bottoms; no logos, zips, patterns etc PLAIN BLACK. Black jazz shoes must be worn once past the reception area. Saturday school students must also have plimsoles / jazz shoes with a white sole for the dance class. These can be any colour as long as the sole is white to avoid damaging the studio floor.
9. Your child must be provided with a small snack for the break time and plenty of water to last the day. Nothing too heavy and nothing that requires hot water.
10. Chewing gum and glass bottles are not permitted on the premises.
11. No food or drink, apart from water, may be consumed outside the break time. If the student feels faint due to hunger they must inform the teacher straight away and a place will be allocated for them to go and eat.
12. During break times all students must remain in the hall unless the principal or her executive has given prior permission.
13. Students must have with them at all times a notebook and pen/pencil.
14. Students must bring with them every week a folder for any photocopied music sheets and scripts etc.
15. Disruption of performing arts classes will not be tolerated.
16. Disrespectful behaviour towards staff and teachers and other students will not be tolerated.
17. Should you have a complaint or concern and need to speak with the principal or her executive, an appointment must be made. Please e-mail us or ring 020 7682 1403.

19. PLEASE NOTE: Any correspondence needed by the school must be handed in at the times specified. Your child will not be permitted on the premises should correspondence not be adhered to as this greatly affects the smooth running of the school which relies on team effort.
20. Whenever possible, a parent/guardian must be contactable at all times that the child is at the school. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to inform the school of any contact or medical changes that may have occurred.
21. A weekly letter is given out. It is the responsibility of the student and the parent/guardian to read this letter thoroughly and adhere to any of its requests. If your child misses a week it is their responsibility to get that week’s letter on their return. Excuses will not be tolerated for not knowing what is going on or what is expected throughout the coming weeks.
22. Terms and conditions are subject to change providing one week’s notice is given.

1. All fees must be paid by 16th July. After this date has passed, this will be non-refundable, as your place will have been reserved. Should a cheque be returned your child will NOT be allowed to continue until it has been replaced.

3. All students must arrive promptly, ready to start at 10.00am. Lateness will not be tolerated unless a phone call is made to the Head Office on 0207 682 1403, with an explanation before the student arrives.
4. Any unexpected absences due to illness must be phoned through before 10.00am, so the staff can be notified.
5. Your child must be provided with a lunch for the break time and plenty of water to last the day. Nothing too heavy and nothing that requires hot water. Children are not permitted off-site to buy there lunch, so they must bring it with them.
