Course Info

The secret to learning to dance is to learn by having fun, and our Total Beginners Dance Class will do just that. You will learn how to move with rhythm, keep to the beat of the music, move your body to music in ways you didn’t think you could, learn isolations, linking moves together, basic timings, flexibility and above all give you the confidence to learn basic dance steps, terminology and simple routines all in a fun and creative atmosphere. This class will also allow you to proceed onto our next level and take the next step into the next progression of dance.

Dance is also a complete workout as it works and helps develop all muscle groups in the body. You will tone and lose a few pounds whilst having fun.

All classes are taught in a fun and friendly way so you won’t feel embarrassed or singled out.  Whether you are a beginner or improver, shy or confident, this course is suitable for you. 

Teacher:   Mark Short

Mark is a professional dancer and choreographer who has been working in the industry of TV and theatre all of his adult life. His choreographic credits include Tina Turner, Ant N'Dec, Peter Andre and the Gladiators to name but a few. He has choreographed UK pop tours for corporate clients such as Panasonic, SmithCline Beecham and Coca Cola. As a performer Mark was a regular on Top of the Pops, Olympic Opening Ceremony, Royal Variety Performances and 150 Years of John Lewis Celebration with Paloma Faith. His unique and fun way of teaching has made Mark a popular teacher and choreographer and will always bring out the best in his students whether they are beginners or more advanced dancers.
