This class is for students that have studied dance up to elementary level and beyond. This course is by audition only, however students that have completed both level 1 & 2 Stage & the City dance courses can be invited into the company by their course teacher.

If you would like to join this company please e-mail hello@stageandthecity.com outlining any dance experience you may have. You will then be invited along to try a free class which will enable our teacher to see if you are ready to be part of this company.

Jazz Performance   

Course Info

This course will work on technique, corner to corner and centre work amalgamations. As a performance class you will learn different styles of dance fusing Jazz, contemporary, lyrical, basic ballet and commercial street. You will work on core strengthening and flexibility, develop your understanding of technique with an intense lesson on performance and dance.

This class will have guest teachers and choreographers from the industry that will develop your skills further and work with different styles of choreography.

You will also get the opportunity to do performances as part of showcases and annual performances.

Mark is a professional dancer and choreographer who has been working in the industry of TV and theatre all of his adult life. His choreographic credits include Tina Turner, Ant N'Dec, Peter Andre and the Gladiators to name but a few. He has choreographed UK pop tours for corporate clients such as Panasonic, SmithCline Beecham and Coca Cola. As a performer Mark was a regular on Top of the Pops, Olympic Opening Ceremony, Royal Variety Performances and 150 Years of John Lewis Celebration with Paloma Faith. His unique and fun way of teaching has made Mark a popular teacher and choreographer and will always bring out the best in his students whether they are beginners or more advanced dancers.

Course Dates & Fees

This course is on-going but for payment purposes it has been divided into two "terms".

New students: If you wish to join once the term has already started, please email hello@stageandthecity.com for a separate payment plan.
