"Amazing classes , great atmosphere , incredibly fun. Flashmob is a ball, musical theatre was new to me and really enjoyed it. Jazz continues to push my standards. When we performed in the showcase it really felt like a family supporting one another. Here's to a lot more to come."  - James

"Great way to spend an evening after work and amazing teachers, I have been doing total beginners dance and Mark Short is a very patient teacher and the class is fun. I've also been attending contemporary choir and Melissa Hammond is very approachable , informative on vocal techniques and again those classes are fun too!"  - Michelle

"This is literally the best thing I have done this year! Every week I meet my new friends, explore my hidden talents (which I now know we all have) and have an energy boost like no other. Being taught by brilliant industry professionals and mingling with people from different backgrounds, jobs, cultures has widened my social network and has given me the confidence kick that we all need. On top of that, being able to be involved in something that is a charitable venture, which gives back to our London community and kids who aren't as lucky as us, is the cherry on top of this magnificent tasty cake! Thank you S&TC!"  - Manisha

Stage & the City is the best project I ever embraced. Not only do I get to fulfill a childhood's dream, by taking singing lessons and have a chance to perform, but I also get a chance to be with amazing people. The Contemporary Choir classes are a like a balm in the middle of the week, where I can get my head away from my stressful work and have fun. Melissa Hammond is an amazing teacher, very down to earth, that makes you feel confident, gives you all the tricks & bits on vocal techniques and makes you believe in yourself. I also had a chance to work with the Musical Theatre group and Mark Short is absolutely fabulous! He can make anyone dance, even me and I have a very bad sense of coordination. I definitely recommend Stage & the City to anyone! And what can I say about the Anna " Fairy Godmother" Fiorentini? She is fab! She is always encouraging you, asking your opinion in how to get this project bigger and making a massive effort to get our showcase and other ways we can perform. Well done!   - Claudia

"I just love the Stage & the City beginners acting class which I look forward to attending every Tuesday and have done so for the past year. It's a fun, interactive class and I have met some lovely people. Through the classes and on stage theatre performance, I feel I have broadened my creative skills and developed new performance techniques which has given me a great confidence boost. All of which has helped in my professional and personal life. Can't wait till the new term starts again in September!"   - Christina

"Signed up on a whim not really knowing what to expect but I've been having the time of my life. I'd always fancied giving acting a go but didn't really know where to start and my local amateur dramatic societies didnt really float my boat. Turning up on the first class we were all thrown straight out of our comfort zones with some improv exercises which helped us lose our inhibitions.

Over the subsequent terms I've watched mine and my classmates self confidence grow in a supportive environment and the class is the highlight of the week. Being able to do a showcase and have my friends see what I had learned was a thrill and a joy. Seeing people who seem perfectly ordinary people come to life on stage doing something they really enjoy is fantastic. Additionally it's got me back into visiting the theatre again!

Finally it feels great to know that we are contributing to Anna's foundation which allows children, who might not otherwise be able, the opportunity to attend the weekend acting school. Jake and the other tutors teaching is of a great quality and worth the price tag.

In short. Be brave and give it a go! Because if you can throw yourself into a peice of improv or a script despite your nerves and worries then you'll be rewarded with a great feeling and some new friends."   - Catherine

"I absolutely love my weekly acting classes. Apart from being great fun, I've learned new techniques to develop voice projection, stage presence , creative thinking and improvisation skills- all of which I can bring into my everyday professional life. We recently showcased our work in a theatre and it was an amazing experience.

I feel I have made friends for life through the classes and am very grateful to Jake and Anna who teach with such enthusiasm, generosity and dedication. The courses are very reasonably priced too! I have no hesitation in recommending Stage and The City."   - Helen
